When visitors use contact forms we collect the data shown in the contact form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection. Information collected may include your full name, email, phone number and information pertaining to the particular reason for contact.
When visitors leave comments on the site we collect the data shown in the comments form, and also the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent string to help spam detection.
If you leave a comment on our site you may opt-in to saving your name, email address and website in cookies. These are for your convenience so that you do not have to fill in your details again when you leave another comment. These cookies will last for one year.
If you have an account and you log in to this site, we will set a temporary cookie to determine if your browser accepts cookies. This cookie contains no personal data and is discarded when you close your browser.
When you log in, we will also set up several cookies to save your login information and your screen display choices. Login cookies last for two days, and screen options cookies last for a year. If you select “Remember Me”, your login will persist for two weeks. If you log out of your account, the login cookies will be removed.
If you edit or publish an article, an additional cookie will be saved in your browser. This cookie includes no personal data and simply indicates the post ID of the article you just edited. It expires after 1 day.

If you upload images to the website, you should avoid uploading images with embedded location data (EXIF GPS) included. Visitors to the website can download and extract any location data from images on the website.

We will only collect Personal Information that is necessary to fulfill the following purposes:

- To refer you to one of our REALTOR® associates;
- To set up and send you listing updates, newsletters and any other information as requested;

If you chose to not provide specific details in some cases we may not be able to provide you with the full range of services we offer to our real estate clients ex. market updates by email or property listing updates.
Who we share your data with
We do not sell or rent your data to any third party.
How long we retain your data
If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely. This is so we can recognize and approve any follow-up comments automatically instead of holding them in a moderation queue.
For users that register on our website (if any), we also store the personal information they provide in their user profile. All users can see, edit, or delete their personal information at any time (except they cannot change their username). Website administrators can also see and edit that information.
Personal data is retained within our databases and within email submissions. This information held includes both current and historic client contact details.
What rights you have over your data
If you have an account on this site, or have left comments, you can request to receive an exported file of the personal data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any personal data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Your contact information
Any submission of your contact information either in a website form submission or email is used to respond to your inquiries and to assist you in the scope of the submitted information. Forms and email submissions are stored within our email service – GSuite by Google which is fully encrypted and uses two factor authentication in addition to our strong passwords policy to access. With direct phone calls your phone number as well as any details of your call, inquiries or concerns will be noted within our systems to allow us to assist you fully.
How we protect your data
All information that you provide to us is stored on secure servers and transferring of the data between the website and the servers uses the SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) protocol. All email communication between you and us is fully encrypted and data is encrypted using 128-bit or stronger Advanced Encryption Standard (AES). Additional measures such as two factor authentication for logging into websites and email are in place in addition to having a strong passwords policy.
What data breach procedures we have in place
Websites are monitored in real time for security breaches. Best efforts are used to prevent loss, misuse or alteration of data by implementation of security best practices and that third part services used are reputable.
Industry regulatory disclosure requirements
Real estate industry members in Alberta are required by the Real Estate Act to maintain client information for legislated requirements and must ensure the confidentiality and privacy of clients are maintained. Data collected is required to be retained by the Brokerage of record as well as the individual industry practitioner.
